the oro valley public library has a twice-monthly program where trained, certified professional care and therapy dogs and their owners sojourn the oro valley civil library. children are invited to read their books to the dogs. even reluctant readers enjoy reading to these sweet animals, and mend their reading skills without even realizing it. the programs are on the first tuesday and fourth thursday of each month. the upcoming schedule is:tuesday, may 13, 2-3 pm thursday, may 22, 4-5 pm tuesday, june 10, 2-3 pm thursday, june 26, 4-5 pm tuesday, july 8, 2-3 pm thursday, july 24, 4-5 pm call 229-5300 for more information.
